A Message From Philly Westie

As announced during our last event on February 28th, 2026,
Philly Westie will no longer be running monthly west coast swing socials. 

 

Over the past several years, it has been an absolute joy to organize and host West Coast Swing socials in Philadelphia. Our goal was simple: to create a welcoming space where dancers of all backgrounds and experience levels could learn, connect, and enjoy West Coast Swing together. Philly Westie was a volunteer-run effort dedicated to bringing more social dancing opportunities to the city, and the enthusiasm and kindness of the community made that mission incredibly rewarding.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported us along the way, our volunteers, DJs, teachers, venue partners, and especially the dancers who showed up month after month to share the floor with us.

While Philly Westie will not be hosting additional events for the time being, the Philadelphia-area West Coast Swing community is still active and thriving, and we strongly encourage dancers to continue supporting other local events and organizations.

Our website will remain active for the time being as a platform to find these other local events through our shared Community Calendar and other relevant resources.

Thank you again to everyone who made this community special. We’re proud of what we built together and grateful for every dance we shared.
